Alter Fritz is the newborn project of Frits, born and raised in the farmlands around Antwerp, Belgium.
He discovered electronic dance music at an early age, starting with Dub and Drum & Bass and quickly felt at home in the hardcore/gabber scene, where he also found his love for the darker side of electronic music.
After a couple years of raving, he stumbled upon psychedelic trance. Being already attracted by the vibe of it for a while, it finally catched his attention after hearing Goa Gil around 2012/13. Since then, he has a strong connection to Dark Psychedelic Trance and went to as much parties and festivals as possible.
After finishing his school, Frits eventually started to produce his own tracks, heavily influenced by all the music that he grew up with. Starting off with learning how to use modular synths, he quickly managed to convert all his knowledge into a first set of blasting tracks. His music is a funky, groovy version of Dark Psychedelic Trance, garnished with funny samples and not too much melodies, characterized by a full power rhythm and sound design that will make every dancefloor shake.
Being a member of the Belgian Mossy Behavior for a while, he recently joined the aspiring Berlin-based label Quintessence Records.
